Crazy Love

Over the past few days I have been reading a new book; Crazy Love: Overwhelmed by a Relentless God By Francis Chan. This book has completely rocked my world. It has put a new hunger, passion, and longing for the Lord inside of me. If you are hungry for more of God and long for a deeper understanding of Him and His love then you have got to read this book! To find out more click on the title and go check out it's website. It has great videos too!

Anywho... with that said I am just going to take out a small portion of it that has rocked me today!
Looking at the scripture in Matthew 25 where Jesus says, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."
Chan poses the question: "How would my life change if I actually thought of each person I came into contact with as Christ- the person driving painfully slow in front of me, the checker at the grocery store who seems more interested in chatting that ringing up my items, the member of my own family with whom I can't seem to have a conversation and not get annoyed?"
He says, "that if we believe that, as Jesus said, the two greatest commandments are to 'love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and to love your neighbor as yourself.' Then God is forming a connection here; by loving "the least of these" we are loving God Himself.
Jesus is trying to show us that we show tangible love for God in how we care for the poor and those who are suffering. He expects us to treat them as if they are Christ Himself. "

Look around today and look for Christ in your co-workers, your friends, your family members... I bet it won't be near as hard to love them then! :) Let's let everything we do today be unto our loving Father! Let's live out some Crazy Love for Jesus!

He Loves Us! Oh How He Loves Us!

"You must worship no other gods, for the Lord, whose very name is Jealous, is a God who is jealous about his relationship with you." Exodus 34:14

"I have loved you with an everlasting love" Jeremiah 31:3

Happy (early) Valentine's Day to you all!!!

Remember the Lord is Jealous for you!
He waits in eager expectation for you to look His way!
To hear you mention His name sends chills up his spine.
Your splendor and beauty brings tears of love to his eyes!
No one will ever love you like He does.
For His love for us is PERFECT!!!

Every Leader is a Reader

Someone once told me "Every leader is a reader"
I thrive on reading books by amazing women of God who have gone before me and really pioneered the way for young women of God to succeed in their walks with God. I often look at these women as mentors... even though they don't know me. Through their writings I have been challenged, shaped, encouraged, and trained in my walk with God.
Titus 2:4 says "older women must train the younger women...
This isn't a simply suggestion it's a command...
Your walk with Christ is not always going to be easy, but God has giving us tools to help us along the way... one being mentors/mothers who who love the Lord with all their hearts and live their lives to help seeing us, the younger women, not make the same mistakes they did.
Even if you don't have someone in your life physically that you can go to I challenge you to pick up a good book and learn for women like: Joyce Meyer, Lisa Bevere, Beth Moore... and MANY more!

Here are 2 books I recently purchased on Joyce Meyer's Clearance section! Some great deals to start your own little library of discipleship at an affordable price!

Today!

Psalms 90:12 & 17
“12 So teach us to number our days, that we may get us a heart of wisdom.”
“17 And let the beauty and delightfulness and favor of the Lord our God be upon us; confirm and establish the work of our hands--yes, the work of our hands, confirm and establish it.”

I was reading a book Driven by Eternity, by John Bevere, and on the very first page a quote he said wrecked me! It said, "Many things lost in life can be restored; however, time misused can never be recovered.”
Are you driven by eternity today?
Be reminded that everyday is a day that God wants to use you!
You are His vessels put on Earth to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ!

What were you put on this Earth to do today?

Remember:
Today is a day of purpose and of destiny.
God fashioned and formed you for just such a time!
